Clothing Services
- Volunteers needed to run clothing drives for specific items such as in season casual clothing in good condition.
- Volunteers needed to sort and distribute clothing to the STREETLIGHT MISSION guests.
- Public relations assistant.
- Development assistant needed to help solicit discounts/donations for the Mission.
- Driver needed to transport people to and from needed services. Schedule varies.
- Driver needed to pick up donations. Schedule varies.
- Assist guests in writing resumes, cover letters and locate employment.
- Assist President with establishing relationships with prospective employers in area.
- Bookkeeper to record donations and send thank yous.
- Volunteers needed in Saturday Food Pantry - Saturdays 10:00 am to 2:30 pm on a rotating basis.
- Meals needed for various events one time and regular events.
- Office assistants needed to answer phones, greet guests, address envelopes and prepare mailings on a rotating schedule during office hours.
- Case manager assistant providing basic social work, encouragement and counseling as well as evaluation of homeless guests' needs.
- Recreation assistant to provide recreational activities for guests.
- Tutor adults and children to improve reading skills.
- Life skill instructors.
- Painting and light construction - hours and projects vary.
- Volunteers needed to help organize special events such as Christmas Parties, Thanksgiving, Block Parties.
- Volunteers needed at each special event to prepare and serve food, run programs and assist at the event.
- Special skills: counselor, accounting, recovery, legal, computer, job counseling, mentoring, tutoring, art, photography, film documentary, writers, media, graphics, web maintenance, life skills instructor.
- Mentors needed to help men, women and children - variable hours.
