When we met Joe he was living in an abandoned fire truck. He had turned to drinking when his 6 year-old daughter died in a fire. Joe loved God and His Word but the grief of his daughter's death destroyed his will for life. Joe came to StreetLight for help. Slowly he got back on his feet and returned to his old church. His experiences had given Joe a heart. The Saturday we went to have breakfast with Joe he was out ill. A few days later Joe died of a heart attack. We miss Joe very much. He was a good friend and brother in the Lord. It is a comfort to know Joe is home with Jesus and reunited with his daughter.
