These are difficult days for everyone. But no one feels the impact more than the poor. Poverty, hunger, unemployment, homelessness and abuse are problems we see everyday and in record numbers. Many who have never been in need are coming to us for help.

As fall begins, we are reflecting on all that God has given us this year: an expanded facility and expanded responsibilities to serve the poor at a time of a devastating economic downturn in our society. This is an incredible opportunity to demonstrate the love of God.

In preparation for 2010 we have determined that it costs $475 a day to provide our current services. Please prayerfully consider providing a Day of Hope to help those in need. With a gift of $39.59 a month, you can provide food to the hungry, clothe the poor and help people access needed services.

Your gift can be made in honor or memory of someone special! Just pick the day in 2010 you want to open the Mission. A receipt will be sent to you identifying your donation to STREETLIGHT MISSION, a 501c3 organization. We will send a certificate and a tee shirt to you, or the person you designate, to recognize your gift. On your day we will post your name and honoree in the reception area of the Mission.
