Streetlight Mission

These are difficult days for everyone. But no one feels the impact more than the poor. Poverty, hunger, unemployment, homelessness and abuse are problems we see everyday and in record numbers.

For the past 12 years the StreetLight leadership team has worked on the streets to care for those in need. Because of your help we have been able to continuously expand our services to fill in the gaps that have prevented people from becoming productive members of their families and the community. In March of 2008, STREETLIGHT MISSION, opened to expand this work as a faith based, not for profit agency (501c3). At that time we had no idea how quickly the economy would deteriorate and the need would escalate. We went from feeding 150 people at our Tuesday night dinner to 250 in one week, the majority of the increase being families with children. Many who have never been in need are coming to us for help

It is because of your generosity that each month we provide more than 350 families groceries. Daily we help people access housing, medical, legal and recovery services. We distribute thousands of items of clothing, toiletries, blankets and other needs. Recently we also took over the work previously provided by New York City Relief's Hope Center. To cover the added expenses to support these services we ask you to consider becoming a Day of Hope sponsor.

All of us at STREETLIGHT MISSION thank you for your generosity. We pray for God's blessing and provision for you and your family.

Together, we are bringing hope to those in need!
